- Channel API marketplaces communicate directly with the ChannelEngine API. These marketplaces do not support advanced features, such as repricing and carrier mapping, but do support all of the default features, such as returns and cancelations.
- The Mirakl platform is a framework many marketplaces use as their back-end system.
- Product offers are offers connected to existing content. Offers tend to contain only data such as the price, stock, and delivery time.
- Product content translates into the creation or update of content on a marketplace. For some channels, your offers are directly connected to the content as there is no generic product database. E.g.: eBay, Wish, Allegro, etc.
- The product status import is used to determine, to a certain degree, the status of a product on a marketplace. E.g.: 'Published' or 'Invalid'.
- HTML support shows if a marketplace supports the formatting of the product description using HTML tags.
- Order support determines to which degree orders can be split up for shipments, returns, and cancelations.
- 0 (none) - the marketplace does not support any orders or order follow-up actions. E.g.: Beslist does not support automated shipments or returns, therefore it is not possible to perform any partial order actions.
- 1 (no split/orders) - the marketplace supports orders and follow-up actions, but these cannot be split up. All order lines within a single order must be included in one shipment.
- 2 (split orders) - the marketplace supports orders and follow-up actions, and they can be split into individual order lines. However, each order line itself cannot be split further. E.g.: an order with two separate products can be shipped in two separate shipments. But if a quantity of three of the same product is ordered, only a total of three can be shipped, canceled, or returned.
- 3 (split order lines) - the marketplace supports orders and follow-up actions, and each order line within an order can be split. E.g.: if a quantity of three of the same product is ordered, you can ship two and cancel one.
- Carrier mapping is when you can map your carrier or carriers to a specific list provided by the marketplace. In some cases, this is mandatory, as only the specific marketplace carrier code is accepted.
- Product variations are variants of the same product, such as different colors and sizes of the same t-shirt, grouped under a single parent product. If a (G) is visible, either grandparent products can be used as parent products, or the marketplace supports a third relationship tier. There are three types of product variations:
- Automatic - the (grand)parent-child structure is defined on ChannelEngine. Variations already appear in a fixed structure that comes from how they are defined by the merchant on ChannelEngine.
- Semi-automatic - a (grand)parent-child structure is defined on ChannelEngine, and the merchant maps specific attributes in the mappings.
- Manual - grouping codes are available in the mappings; variants are grouped based on that code.
- Fee reductions are a special option supported only by bol. For more information on fee reductions, check out the article bol: fee reductions.
- Marketplace fulfillment translates into the use of the marketplace's fulfillment services. E.g.: fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Logistiek via bol (LVB), fulfillment by Cdiscount (FBC), etc.
- Pick-up point delivery is the option to deliver orders to a pick-up point, rather than to the customer's home or work address. Carriers usually provide this type of service.
- Refurbished products relate to support for a specific condition and/or section for refurbished products on the marketplace. It may also mean that the marketplace is focused on selling refurbished products.
- Although this marketplace does not provide statistics on your competitors, it does provide you with a basic repricer that can be used to target the buy box.
- Invoice uploads is the option to automatically upload tax invoices on your orders to the marketplace. This is now available via the Merchant API.
- Last-mile delivery is the last leg of a journey comprising the movement of goods from a transportation hub to a final destination. Certain marketplaces have agreements with various carriers providing merchants with a faster and cheaper way to ship their products.
- Settlements are reports that contain information about payments from a marketplace to a merchant, such as transactions, order information, and fees deducted by the marketplace. For more information on settlements, check out the article ChannelEngine: settlement reports.
- Sales channels on ChannelEngine refer to the feature of a specific channel plugin to support sending content and/or offers to multiple sales channels, e.g.: country websites and sister brands, from the same plugin, i.e.: using a single set of API credentials.
- The multiple stock locations feature allows you to assign specific stock levels to every warehouse where your products are stored. For more information on stock locations, check out the article ChannelEngine: advanced order management [add-on].
