How to request an account
To request a Wayfair supplier account, go to Partner with Wayfair and enter all the required information. Note that Wayfair relies on dropship suppliers. If you plan to sell on Wayfair, you must become familiar with its dropship business model.
Associated costs
When it comes to costs and payments, Wayfair is not like most other marketplaces. Instead of using a commission system, Wayfair pays its partners upfront for its products and sets its own retail prices on its website.
For more information on Wayfair's business model, check out the Sell with Wayfair website.

1 Only stock updates are supported. Price updates are not supported; Wayfair sets its own prices.
2 Wayfair does not support an automated content connection; you need to manually submit a content file on the Wayfair platform to create products. There are no advanced order actions either, such as returns or cancelations. These have to be handled manually or via Wayfair's customer service.
3 A marketplace that supports sales channels allows merchants to list and sell products across multiple markets (e.g.: countries, regions, and states), all from the same connection.

- Under the Access permissions section, select the API box and click Save.

On ChannelEngine
Set up a sandbox
- Go to the Setup step of your Wayfair channel and in Connection, enter Client ID and Client secret associated with your sandbox.
- Ask your contact person at ChannelEngine or a member of the Support team to enable your sandbox settings in your Wayfair plugin.
Plugin specific settings
- Send using Wayfair's carrier account - automatically fill Wayfair's recommended carrier as your shipment method when creating your shipment.
- Enable shipping labels - indicate if you want to import shipping labels from Wayfair to download directly from ChannelEngine. Please note that any associated fees or costs are determined by Wayfair — for pricing inquiries, contact Wayfair support.

-
Enable to use multiwarehouse support - use Wayfair's warehouse management feature.
- If Yes, then The default stock location field does not appear.
Invoice settings
You must include an invoice with your shipments. To configure your invoice settings:

- Configure the invoice fields according to Wayfair's invoice requirements.
Move to production
- Once the testing is done, replace the sandbox credentials with your production credentials on ChannelEngine.

- On Wayfair, go to the Integration status page on Wayfair and access your production application.
- Click View/Update by the Purchase order API and switch the Live in production setting from No to Yes.
- Repeat that process for the two other APIs: Ship notice and Shipping.

Mappings
Content
There are no content mappings on Wayfair.
Offer
Required
- Price before (re)price rules - the selling price of the item.
- Stock at 1 - the stock level at the given stock location.
Carrier
If you prefer to specify which carrier to use in your shipments, you must do carrier mapping because Wayfair only accepts its specific carrier codes in its shipments. If you do carrier mapping, make sure that Send using Wayfair's carrier account is not enabled in Setup, Plugin specific settings. If you use your own shipment account, map your shipping method to [SSOA] Supplier Own Account.
Listed products
Wayfair does not provide feedback on the Listed products page.

Description |
shipping_method |
Yes | The carrier code related to the shipment method selected to fulfill the channel order. |
ship_speed |
Yes | The transit time taken from the shipping information of the channel order. |
estimated_ship_date |

* Conditional fields are only displayed if the marketplace provides a value.
Shipments
You must include an invoice in all shipments.
Wayfair requires you to use a specific set of carriers. View the list of Wayfair's supported carriers at Mappings, Carrier mappings:
- For an overview of Wayfair's carrier codes, go to Mappings, Carrier mappings.
- Add a shipping method with + Add.
- Open the dropdown list in the Channel field.
- Each of Wayfair's supported carriers appears as
[carrier code] Name of carrier. The code enclosed in square brackets [ ] is the carrier code. E.g.: the code for[STRM] Streamline / UKis STRM. - If you use your own shipment account, use SSOA.
To retrieve Wayfair's shipping labels, follow the guidelines in Merchant API: shipping labels (last-mile delivery).
FAQs
Why do all orders have the order date time 00:00?
All Wayfair orders on ChannelEngine have a 00:00 timestamp. This is because Wayfair does not supply a specific order time for new orders. As the time is left empty, this is automatically displayed as 00:00. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to get the true order, and therefore Wayfair orders will always show the time as 00:00 (until Wayfair changes something on their end).
ChannelEngine does not change the DateTime when creating orders, as this could cause errors related to the following scenarios:
- When Wayfair has issues with exporting orders via its API connection.
- When ChannelEngine has issues with importing orders from Wayfair.
- When an order is placed around 23:59/00:00. In that case, the order date could be day one, but ChannelEngine's created date is on day two. If your logistics has a cut-off time around that moment, this will pose issues for the orders affected.
