This article describes the marketplace activation process.

Introduction

Once all other steps in the channel configuration are completed, you can start the synchronization between ChannelEngine and the marketplace.

To start the synchronization, go to the Activation step of a channel. Here you can see an overview of all the configured settings, filters, rules, and mappings that are required and/or recommended. The number of options and requirements listed varies per marketplace.

If required settings such as API keys and authorization tokens are left empty, or if there is no product filter, you cannot activate a marketplace. This validation is necessary, as there is no value in activating tasks without proper authorization or content. If a required connection setting is missing, ChannelEngine displays a notification in the Activation step.

Activate the synchronization for a channel by toggling the switch in the top right.

After activation

Activating a channel starts its automated synchronization tasks, such as exporting content/offers and importing orders. Activation does not necessarily mean that all products are immediately listed on the marketplace.

After activating the channel, review the Listed products step to confirm that the expected products are being exported. If products are not exported as expected, check the validation feedback from the marketplace and review the relevant product selection, categorization, mappings, and channel settings.
