Configure invoices
To configure invoice settings:
- On ChannelEngine, on the left panel, click Settings, and click Invoice settings. Make sure your invoice settings meet Zalando's order quality assurance requirements.
To apply the correct VAT percentages:
- Click Settings, click VAT rate settings, and navigate to Belgium.
- On the right, click Edit (the pencil icon).
- In the Belgium VAT rate settings dialog box, enter the VAT number and click Save. All invoices that are generated from this point on include the VAT calculation. It is not possible to apply this setting retroactively.
Note: ChannelEngine only accepts international VAT numbers and no local VAT numbers such as for example the German Steuernummer. - Follow the same procedure to enable VAT rate settings for France.
To select the invoice type, go to the Setup section, scroll down to Invoice handle type and, from the dropdown, select one of the following options:
-
- FTP - Zalando provides you with the FTP client username and password. Share these credentials with your Onboarding Specialist or Customer Success Manager, so they can make the necessary adjustments. From then on, for every order from France and Belgium, ChannelEngine automatically sends the invoice to Zalando's FTP server.
- Invoister - for every order from Belgium or France, ChannelEngine sends the invoice to Invoister. Inform Zalando that invoices for orders coming from France or Belgium come from the following email address: info@channelengine.com.
- None - the invoice setting is turned off. You take care of invoicing for ZFS orders outside of ChannelEngine.
NB: ChannelEngine only sends invoices automatically regarding French and Belgian orders, countries where this is mandatory. For other countries, invoices are not created automatically – even if the related sales channels are configured in your environment.
