Error PSERR_171 means that a material-related attribute has been mapped with the value not-applicable, but the product category requires an actual material value to be provided. For example, the jackets category requires a valid material to be mapped under the outer material attribute.

Why it occurs

Certain Zalando product categories treat material attributes as mandatory and do not accept not-applicable as a valid response. When you map that value on ChannelEngine in one of these categories, the product is rejected.

How to fix it

On ChannelEngine, locate the material-related attribute named in the error message and replace the not-applicable value with a valid material. Select from the available options in the attribute mapping. If you are unsure which value applies to your product, consult the Zalando attribute documentation for that category or contact ChannelEngine Support.
