eBay: why are my offers expired?
About this article
This article explains why your offers are expiring on eBay.
Why are my eBay offers expired?
By default, all offers ChannelEngine creates on eBay are good till canceled (GTC), meaning that they never expire. eBay create new auction offers for a maximum of 30 days, and automatically renews them as they approach expiration. These offers have a unique ID, and are linked with various metrics that you can see from your eBay dashboard.
There is one situation, however, which results in your permanent offers being deleted, losing all associated metrics, and not being renewed. This occurs when an offer has a stock value of zero (0) for longer than 30 days.
In this case, eBay automatically delete the offer, and it can not be reactivated by ChannelEngine via the eBay API. If you have important products with a lot of attached metrics and history on eBay, make sure to maintain a positive stock number at least once every 30 days.
