Marketplace-specific requirements and exceptions
Setup
On ChannelEngine
Depending on how you want to use Darty, there are two ways to set it up on ChannelEngine: with or without access to content creation and updates.
Product content and product offers
- Go to the Setup page of your Darty marketplace.
- Enter your Fnac/Darty shop ID, which is provided to you by your account manager at Darty. This ID is formatted as shown below:
UID A1A1A1A1-A1A1-A1A1-A1A1-A1A1A1A1A1A1 unique shop identification id
- Click the Authorize button and follow the rest of the procedure described in the Mirakl-based channels: SSO authorization article.
- Note that the Authorize button turns green and changes to Reauthorize.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
NB: if you use both Darty and Fnac and want to create/update content, make sure to only authorize one of these marketplaces on ChannelEngine – otherwise both accounts become invalid. The product catalog is identical between the two marketplaces, so there is no need to send the same product content twice.
Only product offers
- Go to the Setup page of your Darty marketplace.
- Enter your Fnac/Darty shop ID, which is provided to you by your account manager at Darty. This ID is formatted as shown below:
UID A1A1A1A1-A1A1-A1A1-A1A1-A1A1A1A1A1A1 unique shop identification id
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Note that the Authorize button turns green and changes to Reauthorize even if you do not follow the procedure for Mirakl-based authorization. This is normal, but you cannot click it to reauthorize the connection.
Other settings
- Is qualified seller? - if you are a qualified seller (i.e.: allowed to create or update content), enable this setting. If you are not, you cannot use the mappings.
- Relais Colis client ID - if you use Relais Colis as your shipment method, enter your client ID. If you use a different carrier (e.g.: PostNL, DPD, GLS, DHL, Fedex, etc.), you can leave this field empty.
Categorization
Categorization is only needed on Darty if you want to create products or update existing product information. The categorization is straightforward, and it uses attribute names in French.
To see all Darty categories, click Browse in the lower left-hand corner of the Categorization page.
Mappings
Content
Darty does not have a long list of mandatory attributes, but in general the more content you map the higher the chances to convert. If you do not have your product content in French, consider using ChannelEngine's feature to generate product translations.
Like other French channels, Darty has a list of terms that are not allowed in product titles:
- coronavirus
- ampoule UV de désinfection
- COVID
- lampe germicide
- germinicide
- lampe UV
- germinicide
- lampe UV
- COVID-19
- Airpods
- Earpods
- Soundlink

- Overwrite logistic type - merchants can set their shipping costs policy directly in the Darty back-end, under My account, My seller settings, My shipping details. There you can find a table showing the product categories associated with each logistic type – as seen in the screenshot below. Different shipping costs can be set per logistic type.
- Showcase nr - the offer's position on your store's page within Darty. E.g.: to place an offer in the first position, map 1 to this attribute.
Discount-related attributes
To create discounts on Darty, you need to map at least one of the required discounted-related attributes. If a value is assigned to a required attribute, optional mappings are considered and included in the next offer export. However, if all three required promotion-related attributes are left unmapped, all discounted-related mappings are ignored and excluded from the offer export.
Required
- Promo type - the type of promotion, selected from a list of fixed values. E.g.: batch, destocking, flash sale, free shipping, good deal, sales, or use the default value.
- Promo start date - the start date for the promotion in the format yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss. If the selected Promo type is sales, this date must fall within the allowed sales period.
- Promo end date - the end date for the promotion in the format yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss. Similar to the start date, if the Promo type is sales, this date must be within the allowed sales period.
Optional
- Promo discount value - the amount of discount applicable during the promotion. If the Promo discount type is a fixed amount, enter a numeric value between 0.90 and 2000. In the case of a percentage-based discount, the numeric value should be between 1 and 100. This attribute is required in all cases, except when the Promo type is free shipping.
- Promo discount type - the type of discount, selected from a list of fixed values. E.g.: fixed amount, or percentage based.
- Promo user reference - the name or reference you or Darty have given to the promotion. E.g.: summer sale.
- Promo sales reference - the sales reference of the promotion. If the Promo type is sales, the value must match the name or reference of the sale on Darty.
- Promo trigger type - the trigger type for the promotion, selected from a list of fixed values. E.g.: minimum item quantity, minimum total quality, minimum total amount, or use the default value. This attribute is required when the Promo type is batch.
- Promo trigger value - the trigger value or threshold of the promotion, used to determine what value triggers the promotion to apply. This attribute is required when the promo type is batch.
- Promo trigger code - if a discount is triggered by a voucher or promotional code, use this attribute to define the trigger code for the promotion.
- Promo trigger customer type - required for batch-type promotions, this attribute determines whether the promotion applies to all customers or only to Fnac/Darty member card holders.
Carrier
Carrier mapping is mandatory on Darty. If your preferred carrier is not on their approved list, map it to Other to have your shipment information submitted correctly.
Pricing
If your default currency is not EUR, you can use a currency conversion to convert prices to Euro.
Although it is possible to use price rules for your products, repricing is not possible on Darty.
