ChannelEngine: price changes
About this article
This article describes the price changes feature on ChannelEngine.
Table of contents
Introduction
ChannelEngine keeps a history of all your price mutations up to 30 days or the latest 10 changes, even if those changes span longer than 30 days. In Pricing, Price changes, inspect individual products to view the history of their mapped price values, exported prices, and the timestamps of each price change. A detailed price mutation history is stored for each price attribute that you configure in the Price rules tab.
Requirements
Pricing v2 is required to use this feature. Pricing v1 will be deprecated soon. If you currently use pricing v1, activate pricing v2 before you continue:
- In the Pricing step of a given channel, click Configuration mode to start configuring pricing v2 while pricing v1 stays active.
- When you are ready to fully switch to pricing v2, reach out to the Support team to activate pricing v2 on the respective channel(s).
Overview
To view your price mutation history on a given channel, go to the Pricing step of the channel and select the Price changes tab.
- To display the price changes for a particular product, enter its name, GTIN, or Merchant product number in the search bar.
- Select the tab of the price attribute for which you want to see the history, e.g.: Quantity discount 1: price.
The Price changes table contains the following fields per product that you sell on the channel:
- Date - the date and time when the record was added to the table. The new record is added every time one of the price values changes.
- Base price - the product’s regular price for the selected attribute. This is the price that you would normally sell your product at.
- Min. price - the product’s minimum price for the selected marketplace attribute. This is the minimal price that you can sell the product at and still be profitable.
- Commercial min. price - the product’s minimum commercial price for the selected marketplace attribute. This is the minimum price defined by the brand, supplier, or manufacturer.
- Min. bound - the product’s minimum price boundary as dictated by the marketplace. For bol, this is connected to bol’s price stars.
- Max. price - the product’s maximum price for the selected marketplace attribute. This is the maximum price that you can sell the product at and still be competitive.
- Commercial max. price - the product’s maximum commercial price for the selected marketplace attribute. This is the maximum price defined by the brand, supplier, or manufacturer.
- Max. bound - the product’s maximum price boundary as dictated by the marketplace. For bol, this is connected to bol’s price stars; for Amazon, this is connected to the competitive price threshold. To learn how to configure Max. bound, check out the article ChannelEngine: price rules v2.
- Price link - the link to an existing price calculation from another marketplace or the same marketplace in a different country. To learn more about the price link and its use, check out the article ChannelEngine: price rules v2.
- Repricer price - the price calculated by ChannelEngine's repricer. This is only visible if the marketplace supports repricing, and you have chosen the appropriate repricer strategy.
- Promotion price - the product’s promotion price for the selected attribute, if the product participates in a promotion. To learn more about the setup of promotions, check out the article ChannelEngine: promotions.
- Fee group - the marketplace fee group assigned to the product. To learn more about marketplace fees, check out the article ChannelEngine: marketplace fees.
- Exported price - the price that is exported to the marketplace. This is the optimal price ChannelEngine decides on based on your price field inputs on the Price rules tab.
