Errors ACSREJ_18, ACSREJ_25, ACSREJ_255, PSERR_64, and PSERR_81
Error 103
Article rejected because the merchant is not active in a given sales channel
When you activate Zalando on ChannelEngine, data is sent to Zalando and, from then on, you are able to tackle certain errors. One of the errors that may occur is:
Merchant is not active in Sales Channel 733af55a-4133-4d7c-b5f3-d64d42c135fe. (ERROR - 103)
That error can be found under the Listed products section on ChannelEngine:
Click the table icon on the right-hand side and the following pop-up appears:
Sales channels are regions where Zalando products are offered via Zalando Fashion Stores, such as zalando.de, zalando.co.uk, etc. They tend to correspond to countries.
Error 103 occurs when certain countries are enabled under the Setup section of the channel within ChannelEngine, but remain inactive within Zalando's system. That could be due to various reasons, such as the country not being included in the initial contract or the merchant not being technically launched by Zalando.
Troubleshooting
Please reach out to Zalando, so the missing countries can be enabled. Once they are, error 103 should no longer occur.
Error PSERR_62
No available images or image download failed
When you create products on Zalando, you may run into the PSER_62 error. This can happen even when the images are actually mapped within ChannelEngine, and available on zDirect .
Comparing the image URLs on zDirect with the mapped image URLs on ChannelEngine, you may notice a difference. ChannelEngine exports images saved on its CDN, allowing for the automatic setting of the images' height and width according to Zalando's guidelines. However, this is only done when the standard ChannelEngine image attributes are mapped to the media path fields.
Unfortunately, you can run into the PSERR_62 error even when the image links open correctly. This is due to Zalando not processing images correctly at times, which is not something ChannelEngine can prevent. The image URLs must be provided to Zalando again, though Zalando only processes image URLs when there is a change in them.
Troubleshooting
As changing URLs is inconvenient, especially when dealing with thousands of images, Zalando suggests the addition of version parameters to the affected images' URLs. This can be done by changing the mapping to a fixed value, and adding a replacement tag. The fixed value should look like this:
{CE:ImageUrl}?version=1
If your URL already contains a ?, you must use {CE:ImageUrl}&version=1 instead.
This process does not break the image link itself, and, once the versioned URLs are exported, Zalando is triggered to process the images again.
Keep in mind that once the replacement tag is in place, ChannelEngine does not export its CDN images anymore. Therefore, your own images must meet Zalando's requirements – which can be found in their Image validation article.
If the PSERR_62 error persists even after the URLs are versioned, please contact either your integration manager at Zalando or, in case you are already past the integration stage, the applicable partner program support contact.
Errors ACSREJ_18, ACSREJ_25, ACSREJ_255, PSERR_64, and PSERR_81
Seasonality is very important for Zalando, and the transition from one season to another happens several times per year. When you try to submit an outdated season code during one of those transitions, it is possible to encounter error messages such as the ones below:
Error code | Description |
ACSREJ_18 | Article from old season |
ACSREJ_25 | Season not allowed |
ACSREJ_255 | Other: outdated season |
PSERR_64 | EAN rejected because the article season is not included in the Partner Master Data. Please adjust the season for the rejected EAN, or reach out to your Operations Specialist to have the season included in your Master Data |
PSERR_81 | This season is not allowed for the creation of new articles. EAN matching is allowed |
If one of the above-mentioned errors occurs, review your article data on ChannelEngine. As those error messages provide a good indication of what is causing the issue, it is possible to pinpoint the affected attribute: season_code.
To solve those errors, map the affected article to the current season code.
If your article is still in the article onboarding phase, you can change the product data directly on ChannelEngine. Once Zalando approves the article, a Zalando SKU is created and, from that moment on, it is not possible to update attributes via the API.
However, it is still possible to encounter errors such as "Article from old season or season not allowed". Below you can find an overview of possible errors:
Error code | Description |
ZABLO_01 | Season clearing by Partner Program |
ZABLO_15 | Items blocked due to the old season. Please delete the product from the feed, or reach out to the Operations Team to adjust its season |
If you encounter one of the errors above, your articles might be eligible for season retagging. Season retagging is the process via which you can update the season designated to articles. E.g.: a top-selling fall/winter 2021 article can be updated to spring/summer 2022, so the article can be sold at full price for longer. For more information on that, check out Zalando's Season retagging guide.
It is also possible to choose not to change the season, though a discount is required by Zalando if you want to keep the article online. For more information on that, check out the article Seasonality.
Error ACSREJ_117
Article rejected because mandatory images were not submitted. Please include these images
Zalando has specific guidelines for product images. If one or more required images for a category of product are missing, the product is rejected. The number of images that are required varies depends on the category. For more information on that, check out the Zalando image and content guides.
To solve this error, ensure that you use the Media path fields in CE to map the image URLs for the main image and any additional images that are required. For more information, check out Mappings in the article Zalando: marketplace guide. By ensuring that your image URLs are mapped and your images meet Zalando's guidelines, you can avoid this error.
Error ACSREJ_258
Article rejected because the image of the CE label was not submitted. Please include the CE image
CE ( conformité européenne, which is French for European conformity) labels are mandatory for certain product types to be eligible for sale within Europe. The label indicates conformity with health and safety standards. Marketplaces like Zalando require an image that displays the CE label along with the product in display.
Those images should meet Zalando's standard requirements for images. If Zalando's requirements are unavailable, Zalando can accept an image that does not meet its standards. The CE label image is then inspected by the Zalando content team, but is not publicly displayed on the Zalando marketplace.
The CE label and the article must be visible and recognizable within the same image. A CE label pictured by itself is not allowed, as it is not clear if the article actually contains it. What's more, the quality of the image is not important – it only serves as evidence, and is stored in the Zalando database. It can also be an amateur photo, rather than a studio image.
Not every product has the CE label directly on it, in some cases it is visible only on the packaging or as a leaflet within it. In those cases, the packaging must be displayed together with the article so that Zalando can verify that the CE label is present.
Finally, the CE label image can also be part of the product's image gallery, visible in the product detail page. However, it is then required that the quality of the image and the display of the article meet Zalando's standards.
The CE label image can be mapped on ChannelEngine. Select any media path attributes, from 2 to 9, to map it.
Error PSERR_133
Supplier size (if chosen in addition with supplier length) is not available in the selected size chart (and/or length chart)
An EAN was rejected because the article has a size that is not contained within the given size chart. To give a detailed explanation on how to solve this error, it is important to give some background information on size charts and its importance.
Zalando is active in 23 markets, and counting. One major challenge related to this is that different countries have specific sizing systems. Customers want to shop on the basis of the size system they are familiar with, and size is a key criteria to meet when it comes to customer satisfaction. To translate sizes, Zalando uses their own size-conversion-charts.
Once the brand readiness is completed, Zalando adds all the size charts provided by the brand during the brand readiness phase to their systems. When this is done and the size charts are exported to ChannelEngine by Zalando, your size charts become available on ChannelEngine. If you are unsure of what the size charts look like, reach out to your ChannelEngine customer onboarding specialist or a customer success manager.
The PSERR_133 error code occurs when a mapped size on ChannelEngine is not available in the size chart. An example of a size chart is 2F1X000E2A, which consists of the following range:
- XXS
- XS/S
- XS
- S
- S/M
- M
- M/L
- L
- L/XL
- XL
- XXL
- 3XL
- 4XL
- 5XL
- 6XL
- 7XL
With that chart in mind, one of possible scenarios is shown below:
The example shows that four out of five sizes comply with the ones available in size chart 2F1X000E2A. However, size XXXL is not available. The size chart above the screenshot shows that the expected size is 3XL. The solution is to change the mapped sizes on ChannelEngine so they comply with the sizes in the chart. In this particular case, the value XXXL must be associated with 3XL – highlighted in yellow below, as it is a manual override.
Keep in mind that Zalando has over 6,000 size charts, and another possible scenario is that the assigned size chart is lacking a few sizes. In that case, please reach out to Zalando to get the correct size chart assigned to you.
Error ZANOS_01
Stock is missing. Please send stock for this article to push it back online
The product has been approved by Zalando, but it has no stock. Once you update the product's stock, it should be available on Zalando.
Error ACSREJ_164
Material for insert is missing from the description
The product has been rejected because the insert material for additional fabric or material that differs from the main material of the product (e.g.: panels, inserts) is not included in the description. As there is no specific attribute to indicate the material information for inserts on ChannelEngine, you must add this information to the product's description. E.g.: The insert material is cotton. We recommend that you add this information to the product's parent-level description.
Error ACSREJ_174
Material for additional accessory is missing from the description
The product has been rejected because the material information for the additional accessory (e.g.: belts, pocket squares, or attached keychains) is not included in the description. As there is no specific attribute to indicate the material information for accessories on ChannelEngine, you must add this information to the product's description. E.g.: The belt material is 100% mushroom leather. We recommend that you add this information to the product's parent-level description.
Error PSERR_147
A mapped attribute contains an unexpected value
The PSERR_147 error occurs when a mapped attribute contains a value that is not supported by Zalando. This is due to the fact that you can select any attribute value on ChannelEngine, whereas Zalando only accepts specific values per category. E.g.: a mapped attribute contains an unexpected value. The attribute value [fleece 224] is invalid for the article type 'coat' on the article variant level.
To solve this error, remove or change the wrong value for that attribute according to the expected value of Zalando. If you are not certain about the appropriate attribute value, contact ChannelEngine's Support.
Error PSERR_151
Change your article type to <x>
The PSERR_151 error occurs when Zalando decides that the submitted product is suitable for a different product category (i.e.: article type) than what was indicated on ChannelEngine. This results in the product category becoming out of sync between Zalando and ChannelEngine.
To solve this error, change the product category on ChannelEngine so that it matches the one indicated in the validation message. Afterward, map the category-specific attributes that pertain to the newly selected product category. Once this is done, you can re-export your product content to Zalando.
Keep in mind that, despite this error, your product content and offer remain active on Zalando.
