ChannelEngine: why are my prices 100 times higher?
About this article
This article describes how to troubleshoot issues related to prices appearing one hundred times higher for your listed products than they are in your product feed.
Why are my prices 100 times higher?
This error occurs when prices listed in your product feed are separated by a comma (,) instead of a period (.). While using a period as a decimal separator is common in some countries, in Britain, Ireland, and the United States, a comma is used to indicate the decimal place in integers.
For example, 100,000.00 is the correct means of separating decimal places in prices on marketplaces, as opposed to 100.00,00 – which would not be recognized.
How to use commas in prices
If you must use commas for price notation, and you encounter prices on ChannelEngine that are much too high, enable the setting Use commas separator in numbers when creating or editing a product feed.
Enabling this option ensures that comma-based decimals are interpreted correctly upon your next product feed import, which solves the pricing issue.
