Introduction
When setting up price rules, it is desirable to preview what the result can be using real products. To see the output of your price rules, you can use the Price rule example option on ChannelEngine. This is done in a separate section – and not directly next to the price rules itself, as is the case with repricing rules.
To go the Price rule example overview, select Channels > Price rule example in the left-hand side menu.
Set up a price rule example
To see the full calculation of a price rule, you need to note where the price rules you want to check are applied – and search for the desired product.
Make sure that the following three fields are filled out:
- Search product - enter the Merchant product number or EAN/GTIN of the product you want to check.
- Select a channel - select the related channel from the dropdown.
- Select listing - select the distinct price rule listing.
Once these fields are filled out, a preview appears showing all the price rules applied to the product – in the order they are set up. Note that if you have a rule adding a fixed value followed by a rule which adds or subtracts a percentage, the result differs from when it is a percentage followed by a fixed value.
