Introduction
Marketplaces that run on Mirakl share the same shipping model. In that model, the shipping costs follow from the logistic class of the product, and the delivery promise follows from the shipping time that you specify per offer.
Shipping is configured in two places:
- In the Mirakl seller portal: shipping methods, delivery zones, logistic classes, shipping charges, and the settings that determine the delivery promise.
- On ChannelEngine: offer mappings that tell the marketplace which logistic class and which shipping time apply to each particular product.
Shipping costs
Configure shipping costs on Mirakl
Configure shipping costs in the Mirakl seller portal.
- Log in to the Mirakl seller portal.
- Go to Settings, Shipping.
- Configure the shipping options you offer, such as standard or express delivery.
- Create or review the logistic classes that separate products with different delivery requirements, such as small parcels, large parcels, or freight.
- Set the shipping charges per delivery zone, shipping method, and logistic class.
Depending on the marketplace, you can also offer free shipping and deactivate shipping methods or regions that you do not support.
Map the logistic class on ChannelEngine
The logistic class assigned to an offer determines which shipping option and shipping cost Mirakl applies to that product.
- On ChannelEngine, open the relevant Mirakl-based channel.
- Go to Mappings, Offer mappings on that channel.
- Map the Logistic class attribute to the code of the desired logistic class. Logistic class codes are marketplace-specific and are listed in the relevant marketplace guide.
Shipping time
Map Leadtime to shipment on ChannelEngine
When a Mirakl-based marketplace does not expose a dedicated shipping time attribute, ChannelEngine uses the value mapped to the default Leadtime to shipment attribute.
- On ChannelEngine, open the relevant Mirakl-based channel.
- Go to Mappings, Offer mappings on that channel.
- Find and map the shipping time attribute. It is often called Leadtime to shipment, but can be a marketplace-specific equivalent.
- Map either a fixed value or a custom field that contains the number of days you need before you ship the item.
Additional settings in the Mirakl seller portal
The delivery promise shown to buyers also depends on other settings you manage on Mirakl:
- Order cut-off time
- Minimum and maximum delivery lead times
- Business days and carrier delivery days
- Business holidays
- Carrier configuration
Keep these settings aligned with your actual processing and delivery schedule.
