Introduction
Error 8571 means that Amazon has temporarily removed your ability to submit listings – including creating new offers or new ASINs – because an unusually high number of listings have been created from your account. This is a weekly limit that Amazon applies to all sellers to protect the quality of its catalog. The limit resets every Sunday.
Cause
Amazon applies undisclosed weekly limits on new ASIN and offer creation. These limits vary based on your seller rating, account health, and sales history. The limits are more restrictive for newer merchants. If you exceed the weekly threshold, error 8571 is returned for any further listing submissions until the limit resets.
Resolution
To resolve error 8571, use one of the following approaches:
- Wait for the weekly reset: the limit resets automatically at 00:00 GMT every Sunday. Once reset, you can resume creating new ASINs and offers within the new week's allowance.
- Match against existing ASINs: while the limit is active, you can still add offers against existing ASINs in the Amazon catalog. Matching to an existing ASIN does not count against your weekly creation limit.
- Contact Amazon Selling Partner Support: if you believe the limit has been applied in error, or if your business requires a higher limit, contact Seller Support via Amazon Seller Central to request a review. Provide your case details and, if applicable, evidence of your sales performance.
