Table of contents
- If the product was intentionally deleted
- If you are recreating a recently deleted SKU
- If the product was never successfully created
Introduction
Error 13013 occurs when you attempt to update inventory, pricing, or other offer data for a SKU that does not exist in your Amazon inventory. Amazon cannot process the submission because it has no record of the SKU in your catalog.
Cause
Common causes of error 13013 include:
- The product was deleted from Amazon, and you are attempting to update it before the deletion has fully propagated.
- The SKU was never successfully created on Amazon due to errors in an earlier product data submission.
- Product data export to Amazon is disabled or not running as scheduled on ChannelEngine.
- The product exists in the catalog but has a status other than Published, such as Not published or Invalid, due to unresolved listing errors.
Resolution
The appropriate resolution depends on the reason the SKU is missing from Amazon's inventory.
If the product was intentionally deleted
If the intent was to delete the product, no further action is necessary. The error will stop once Amazon has fully processed the deletion.
If you are recreating a recently deleted SKU
Wait 24 hours after the deletion before attempting to recreate the SKU. Amazon requires a propagation period before a deleted SKU can be resubmitted.
Ensure that the product is also removed from Seller Central for more than 24 hours before adding it back to you product selection.
If the product was never successfully created
Follow these steps to investigate and resolve the issue:
- Verify that product export is enabled. On ChannelEngine, go to Settings, Scheduled tasks, and confirm that the Export product data to channel task for Amazon is active and running.
- Check whether the product has been successfully created on Amazon. Go to your Amazon channel on ChannelEngine and open the Listed products step. The product's channel status should be Published.
- If the status is Not published or Invalid, click the grid icon on the Listed products step to view any validation messages associated with the product.
- Resolve any errors shown in the validation messages, as 13013 is often secondary to another validation/content error. Common issues include missing required attributes, invalid product identifiers, or incomplete content mappings.
- Once the product is successfully created on Amazon with a Published status, you can proceed to update inventory, pricing, or shipping information on ChannelEngine.
