Why is my VAT number appearing as invalid?

When you enter a VAT number in the VAT settings in ChannelEngine, please be aware that this field only accepts an international VAT number. You can check international VAT numbers in the VAT Information Exchange System (VIES).

If you use a local VAT number, e.g.: German Steuer Nummer, ChannelEngine displays the error message: Invalid VAT number.
