ChannelEngine: why are my orders imported multiple times?
About this article
This article explains why orders might be imported multiple times on ChannelEngine.

Possible causes
You may see the same order appear more than once on ChannelEngine. This can happen for any of the reasons below.
Asynchronous plugin activation
When a marketplace/channel is activated, ChannelEngine may fetch open orders from the previous days. Therefore, duplicate imports may include orders that were already open before the reauthorization/activation event.
Multiple plugins for one channel
Many marketplaces have separate instances on ChannelEngine (e.g.: you can add both bol Netherlands and bol Belgium channels). If you fill out the same credentials across multiple channels, they all retrieve the same open orders – resulting in duplicate orders.
Examples of channels where this can happen
- bol supports individual bol accounts for the Netherlands (NL) and Belgium (BE), as well as the option for a combined account. In case of a combined account, make sure to only add one bol plugin for both NL as BE.
- Beslist
- Fnac
- All Mirakl channels with multiple countries (e.g.: fonQ and Conrad).
Examples of channels where this never happens
- Miinto uses generic credentials, so orders are automatically split per country.
- Amazon also uses generic credentials, so orders are automatically split per country.
- All single-country channels or single-country plugins (e.g.: Kaufland, Spartoo, eBay, Cdiscount, Wish, Back Market, Allegro, etc.).
Identical order numbers
There is a scenario where two genuinely separate, e.g.: bol, seller accounts may receive orders with the same bol order number. In that situation, they are not duplicate imports from ChannelEngine’s perspective, but they are different seller orders, and your ERP may need to handle that distinction.
Prevention tips
If you want to add multiple channel plugins to support different countries of the same channel, make sure to configure separate accounts for each plugin. Fill out the correct credentials of each separate account in each separate channel plugin. If you fill out the same credentials for more than one of those channels, they all retrieve the same open orders, resulting in duplicate orders.
