ChannelEngine: why are my products not being repriced?
About this article
This article explains why products are not repriced accordingly at times.
Troubleshooting
There are several reasons why your products end up priced differently to what you expected. Below you can find the main ones:
-
No competitor prices are imported - it is possible that the required Import competition prices from channel task is not enabled for your account. Go to Settings, Scheduled tasks to check, or contact ChannelEngine's Support team.
NB: you can only request the price information for 2,000 products per hour per key. If you have tens of thousands of products in your listing, you need several keys to keep prices for all your products updated frequently.NB: if you have not entered the Open API key required for bol's open API, you can request it on their Aan de slag met API page.
- The update has not been processed yet - the repricer is not a real time tool, so it does not update prices on the fly. It can take up to an hour to receive new pricing information and, as ChannelEngine updates offers every 5-15 minutes, it can take a while before a price update via the repricer is exported.
- The product is also in a different listing - make sure the product you are repricing is in only one listing. If this is not the case – and the product has a different price in those listings –, ChannelEngine exports the highest calculated price to the marketplace. More often than not, this is not the price from the repricer but the 'regular' price on which price rules are also applied.
-
There is a price override on the product - If a price is set on 'override', this is the price used – and price rules and repricing are ignored for that product. Check if this is the case by going to Listed products, Show price override settings. This option is hidden by default, so you may overlook it at first.
