Amazon: error 8115
About this article
This article explains what Amazon error 8115 means, why it occurs, and how to resolve it on ChannelEngine.
Table of contents
Introduction
Error 8115 occurs when you submit an invalid Condition type value in your inventory file or product data feed. Amazon requires that all products use a Condition type value from a predefined list. Submitting any value outside this list causes the feed to be rejected for the affected SKU.
NB: error 8115 differs from error 8057 in that 8115 is caused by submitting an invalid Condition type value, whereas 8057 is caused by attempting to change a Condition type on a SKU that already has active offers.
Cause
This error is typically caused by one of the following:
- The
condition_typeattribute contains a value that does not appear in Amazon's accepted values list, such as a misspelling or a custom value. - The Condition type value used is not valid for the product's category (e.g.:
CollectibleLikeNewsubmitted for a category that does not support collectible conditions). - The
condition_typeattribute is empty when it is required.
Resolution
To resolve error 8115, update your product data with a valid Condition type value in Mappings, Offer mappings, and resubmit. Use the table below to verify the correct value to use.
NB: if no value is mapped, ChannelEngine automatically exports products as New. So, mapping is required when selling second-hand products.
Valid Condition type values
The following Condition type values are accepted by Amazon:
| Condition type value | Description |

NB: some Condition type values may not be valid for all product categories. If resubmitting a valid value still results in this error, verify that the value is permitted in your specific product category by reviewing the Data Definitions tab of the relevant inventory template or checking that attribute's option mappings on ChannelEngine.
