Introduction

Error 8057 occurs when the Condition type value submitted for a SKU differs from the Condition type value that is already stored for that SKU in the Amazon catalog. Amazon does not allow the Condition type of a product to change while any offer for that product is active. You must remove all active offers before updating the Condition type.

Cause

This error is triggered when:

• The Condition type in your inventory file does not match the Condition type that was submitted for the SKU when it was created.
• You are attempting to change the Condition type while the product still has active offers on Amazon.

Resolution

To resolve this error, follow these steps:

1. On ChannelEngine, remove the affected product from the product selection. This will delete the active offer from Amazon Seller Central.
2. Wait until the offer has been removed from Seller Central. Ideally, wait 24 hours before proceeding to the next step.
3. Add the product back to the product selection.
4. Update the product with the correct Condition type in Offer mappings, Optional. The offer is now created with the updated condition.

The following Condition type values are accepted by Amazon. Note that not all values are valid for every product category.
