- View offer information, including price, stock, and shipping details.
- View how stock is allocated to different warehouses and channels.
- Check product family relationships (grandparent-parent-child).
- View applicable custom VAT rates.
- Enrich product information by creating new custom fields.

Product
In the Product section of the Content widget, view your product's title and description. If your product is available in multiple languages, switch between the tabs to view country-specific content.
Archive or delete product
In the top right corner of the Product section, access the three dots menu to perform the following actions.
- Archive product - removes the product from your product selection and excludes it from exports, deleting the listing from the marketplace. You can reuse the product's merchant product number for a different product later (e.g.: to convert a standalone product to a bundle, or correct an accidental product import).
-
Delete product - removes the product from your product selection and excludes it from exports, deleting the listing from the marketplace. You cannot reuse the product's merchant product number later as it is reserved for this product only.
NB: ChannelEngine uses soft deletes for products, so if you remove a product by mistake, contact Support to reactivate it for you.NB: to permanently delete a product, ensure the product is also removed from your source feed or API. Otherwise, deleted or archived products are recreated during the next sync.
Images
In the Images section of the Content widget, view your product's main image.
Click Clear image cache to delete the old cached image from the ChannelEngine servers and fetch your new image instantly. This action can only be performed per individual product, you cannot refresh cache for multiple products simultaneously.
Specifications
In the Specifications section of the Content widget, view the standard set of fields that ChannelEngine stores for your product, also known as ChannelEngine fields. These fields cover the basic product data required by most channels on which you sell your product.
Each product is assigned a unique identifier on ChannelEngine, which is visible within this section and as the final part of your URL, e.g.: https://your-tenant.channelengine.net/products/view/155
To learn more about field definitions, check out ChannelEngine: product feeds.
Custom VAT rate
In the Custom VAT rate section of the Content widget, view custom VAT rates you defined on ChannelEngine. Custom VAT rates are exceptions to regular VAT intended for products that do not fall under your standard national VAT rates, e.g.: books or baby products.
To learn how to configure exceptions to standard VAT rates, check out ChannelEngine: VAT settings.
Part of bundle
In the Part of bundle section of the Content widget, view any product bundles that include this product as a part. Product bundles are combinations of separate products with individual SKUs that are sold together at a single price. The Part of bundle section only appears if your product is a component of an existing bundle.
To learn how to manage product bundles, check out ChannelEngine: product bundles.
Stock locations
In the Stock locations section of the Content widget, view the available product stock. If you make use of advanced order management and allocate stock to different stock locations, see how your stock is distributed across your warehouses.
To learn how to configure stock in multiple locations, check out ChannelEngine: advanced order management [add-on].
Below, view the stock quantity communicated to your connected channels. If your stock is distributed across multiple warehouses (stock locations), the combined total of this stock is the final value exported to your channels.
Additionally, verify your stock settings:
-
ChannelEngine manages stock
- Enabled (green checkmark) - you track stock movements and update stock manually in the Stock locations section. ChannelEngine is your source of truth for stock management. To learn more about manual stock management, check out ChannelEngine: stock.
- Disabled (red cross) - you use a merchant plugin, API connection, or product feed for automatic stock updates. Stock does not need to be updated manually.
-
Stock reservation for open orders turned off
- Enabled (green checkmark) - stock reservation for open orders is turned off. ChannelEngine exports your submitted stock quantity without subtracting open-order reservations. This is useful if your system (e.g.: merchant plugin) already reserves or deducts stock when orders are received.
- Disabled (red cross) - stock reservation for open orders is enabled. When ChannelEngine receives an order, it subtracts the ordered quantity from the stock exported to marketplaces to minimize overselling risks. To learn more about stock reservations, check out ChannelEngine: stock reservation.
Click the eye icon next to Show stock reserved orders to view a list of orders that are currently reserving stock for this product.
Stock allocations
In the Stock allocations section of the Content widget, view how many stock items of your product are allocated to specific marketplaces. The Stock allocations section only appears if you make use of the stock allocations feature on ChannelEngine.
Click the eye icon to open the edit stock allocations screen and update your existing stock allocation.
To learn how to allocate your inventory to the marketplace, check out ChannelEngine: stock allocations.
Product relations
In the Product relations section of the Content widget, view how your product is connected to other products in a product family – through parent-child or granparent-parent-child relationships. This is important for channels that support or require product variations, such as products grouped by size or color.
The Product relation section only appears if your product is a variation rather than a standalone product.
Use the quick links to open the Product details page of other products in the family.
To learn how to set up and manage a product family, check out ChannelEngine: parent-child relationships.
Custom fields
In the Product relation section of the Content widget, view your custom fields. Custom fields are attributes that you define on ChannelEngine to enhance your product catalog with extra details.
Custom fields can be imported from your product feed or merchant plugin, created at Products, Custom fields or generated using AI at Products, AI attribute builder.
You can perform the following actions from the Product details page:
- Add new custom field - opens the Custom fields page, from which you can add a new custom field.
- Add existing custom field - adds an existing custom field to this product and allows to assign a value to it.
- Edit or delete - use the pencil icon to edit and the bin icon to delete a custom field. If a custom field is currently used in mappings or rules, it cannot be deleted.
To learn how to manage your custom fields, check out ChannelEngine: custom fields.
