Overview

Introduction

AI attribute builder analyzes your product content and suggests enhancements that you can choose to save as custom fields on your products. The AI-generated enhancements include better titles, enriched descriptions, SEO improvements, and other attributes that you choose to optimize, designed to increase the quality and completeness of your existing product catalog.

When you list your enhanced products on your connected channels, your listings are more complete and can translate into higher conversions.

Add AI-suggested enhancements

Get started with enhancing one or multiple product selections. To start enhancing your products:

1. Click Enhance your products in the upper right of the AI attribute builder overview.
2. You are redirected to the Add page. 

Add a product selection

In "Which products do you want to optimize with AI?", add one or more product selections. The AI generator focuses product enhancements only on the product content in those product selections.

To add an existing product selection:

1. In the dropdown, select an option.
2. Each option in the dropdown corresponds to one product family from your overview at Products, Products. For details on creating product families from your overall product catalog, check out ChannelEngine: product overview.

To add a new product selection:

1. Click +Add product selection.
2. Create a filter in the side drawer.
3. Click Save.

The AI-suggested enhancements are based on the product content that is contained in the product selections.

Define your prompt

In What should it extract, combine, or improve?, select a ready-to-use prompt, or create your own prompt using the CE Shell scripting language.

Select from one of the following ready-to-use prompts, including:

• Get width, height, and length from the product name and description.
• Extract color and material from the product title and attributes.
• Generate a short SEO-friendly description from the product name, brand, and category.

Alternatively, write your own free-form prompt using plain text or the CE Shell scripting language.

1. Tell the AI attribute builder what you want to describe about your products. To reference specific attributes within your product data, write your prompt with CE Shell. For guidance on using CE Shell, check out ChannelEngine: CE Shell [beta].
2. To use AI to automatically add specific references to your products' attributes with CE Shell, click Enhance prompt.

Define custom fields

In Name new fields to fill in with AI, use the predefined custom fields, or define one or more custom fields in which to store the AI suggestions.

To use AI to suggest custom fields for you, you have two options:

• Option 1 - use a ready-to-use prompt. The prompt predefines the custom fields for you. 
• Option 2 - let AI suggest custom fields for your free-form prompt:
  1. Click Suggest fields.
  2. A pop-up appears with the AI-suggested custom field(s).
  3. Click Apply.

To name and define your own set of custom fields:

1. Make an educated guess on what fields are the outcome of your prompt.
2. Fill out the Name, Description, and Field type for each field.

Example: define two custom fields based on a free-form prompt

Your prompt

'Extract dimensions from the product description.'

 

Your educated guess

"I think that the AI generator will extract the width and height that I wrote in the descriptions of my smartphones."

 

Your custom fields

"So, I need to define two fields: Width and Height."

• Width - the width of phone - decimal.

• Height - the height of the phone - decimal.

Perform a check

In Preview and apply, verify the AI-suggested values of the new custom field(s) by checking a preview.

To verify the AI enhancements:

1. In the search bar, search for a product.
2. Click on the product.
3. At the bottom of the page, click Preview results.
4. The generated values of the suggested custom fields appear for the given product.
5. To check the custom field values of more products, repeat Steps 1-4.

Apply new fields to products

After you are satisfied with the results in the preview, add the new custom fields to the products in your product selection.

To add the custom fields to your products:

1. Click Apply to [n] products where n is the number of products in your product selection.
2. The new custom fields are applied to the products in the product selection.

Save your prompt

1. In the Apply AI results pop-up, choose a name for your prompt session. Choose the name based on what you enhanced about your products.
2. Click Apply. 
3. Your new custom field(s) are saved to the given products on ChannelEngine.
4. Your session is saved in the AI attribute builder overview.

Overview

The AI attribute builder overview shows your AI prompt history. Each line item in the overview corresponds to one AI prompt session containing the following fields:

• ID - a unique number to identify a single session.
• AI field set name - the name you chose to describe your prompt, e.g.: SEO-optimized description, Dimensions, Color, etc. 
• Fields - the names of the custom fields where you chose to store the AI-suggested enhancements.
• Actions - after you save a prompt session, perform the following actions from the overview page:
  • Edit - click the edit (pencil icon) button to modify the overall session. It is not possible to delete the saved custom fields, but you can add new ones.
  • Schedule recalculation - regenerate the suggested enhancements. Regenerate fields for all or only new products.
