AH Voordeelshop is the online marketplace of the Netherlands’ largest supermarket chain, Albert Heijn, part of the Ahold Delhaize group. The marketplace offers exclusive deals on top brands, specializing in non-food products and experiences. The catalogue and offers change per season.

Setting up each channel on ChannelEngine follows the same flow, though not every channel includes the steps listed below.

1. Go through the Setup.
2. Create a Product selection.
3. Complete the Categorization.
4. Set up the Mappings: content, offers, and carriers.
5. Configure the Pricing: rules and currency conversion.
6. Fill in the Stock settings.
7. Finish the Activation.
8. Check the Listed products overview.

Marketplace-specific requirements and exceptions

This section describes extra steps and deviations from the standard settings and configuration steps that are required to successfully configure the AH Voordeelshop plugin on ChannelEngine.

Setup

On ChannelEngine

Add the plugin 

Add the AH Voordeelshop channel plugin to your dashboard. To add the plugin:

1. Open your ChannelEngine tenant.
2. On the dashboard, click + Add channel.
3. Search for AH Voordeelshop. 
4. If you are already an approved seller on AH Voordeelshop, click the + Add button on the channel card of the channel. 
5. If you are prompted to enter your Seller ID, and you do not have one, then enter any placeholder string.

Connection

This channel must connect to your channel plugin on ChannelEngine to consume your product content and offers and to push orders to you. Therefore, you need to provide your contact person at this channel with the following information:

• Your ChannelEngine base URL https://[yourtenant].channelengine.net
• The Channel API key

The Channel API is this channel's gateway to your products on ChannelEngine. To find your Channel API key:

1. In your channel plugin on the ChannelEngine Dashboard, and go to Setup, General.
2. Locate the API key field.

Categorization

Categorization is not done on AH Voordeelshop. 

Product selection

This channel accesses your product data directly from your product selection. To generate the product feed for this channel:

To generate the product feed files for this channel:

1. Create your product selection for this channel.
2. If your product data contains custom fields, mark your custom fields as public. See the section below on custom fields.
3. Continue with the rest of the steps in Settings and configuration.
4. Let ChannelEngine run its export task for the first time. This export task runs every 60 minutes.

Custom fields

To include your custom fields in the generated feeds and, therefore, expose your custom fields to this marketplace, mark these custom fields as public on ChannelEngine.

To mark your custom fields as public:

1. Go to Products, Custom fields.
2. Locate the custom field that you want to expose to this channel.
3. Change the Include in channel product feed status by selecting the pencil icon and setting it to enabled.

For more guidance on custom fields, check out ChannelEngine: custom fields. If the custom field is set to public, it is automatically included in the product feed that is generated for this channel.

Mappings

Although all attributes are written in English, AH Voordeelshop requires content in Dutch.

AH Voordeelshop’s mappings contain all standard ChannelEngine attributes by default. You are not required to fill out all of the shown attributes, even if they are marked as Required. The only attributes that AH Voordeelshop requires sellers to map are the following attributes:

Content

All products (required)

• Name - the name of the item.
• GTIN - the item’s GTIN.
• Merchant product no - the item’s SKU. The merchant product number must be correctly mapped so that your orders are created for the intended items.

Offer

In Mappings, Offer mappings, the following offer attribute may appear on this channel, if this channel uses pricing v2:

• Allow promotion below min price - set it to ‘true’ to allow the promotion price to drop below your product's minimum price. 

In Mappings, Fee group mappings, map the marketplace fee group ID of the product.

Carrier

There is no carrier mapping on AH Voordeelshop. 

Pricing

Additional information

Orders

Items appear on split order lines with their respective:

• Merchant product no.
• Unit price

Shipments

Sellers may ship with any carrier of their choice and can send order lines in separate shipments. 

When creating your shipments, the following fields are required:

• Shipment method
• Tracking code

FAQs

Why are my shipments stuck as 'Not exported yet'?
AH Voordeelshop uses ChannelEngine's Channel API, so ChannelEngine does not initiate the import and export of data to and from the marketplace. If your shipments are not exported and not visible on AH Voordeelshop's platform, something is incorrect with the import of the shipment information. Please contact AH Voordeelshop's customer service to investigate this. You can copy ChannelEngine's Support team in the email, if needed.
