How to request an account
To sell on Home Depot via ChannelEngine, you must manage your product catalog on OrderStream and manage orders via ChannelEngine.
If you are not already an approved seller on Home Depot, then fill out a supplier profile on Rithum.
If you are already an approved seller on Home Depot, you must:
- Have seller account credentials on Home Depot’s marketplace.
- Coordinate your integration plans with the OrderStream Partnerships team.

- Prices are not exported to Home Depot from ChannelEngine, but your stock levels are.
- Shipping labels are not automatically imported to the platform. However, Home Depot requires packing slips in shipments. For details, check out the Packing slips section below.
- A marketplace that supports sales channels allows merchants to list and sell products across multiple markets (e.g.: countries, regions, and states), all from the same connection.
Settings and configuration
Setting up each channel on ChannelEngine follows the same flow, though not every channel includes the steps listed below.
- Go through the Setup.
- Create a Product selection.
- Complete the Categorization.
- Set up the Mappings: content, offers, and carriers.
- Configure the Pricing: rules and currency conversion.
- Fill in the Stock settings.
- Finish the Activation.
- Check the Listed products overview.

Setup
On Home Depot
Product content creation
- Create your product catalog directly on Home Depot IDM.
- Create your product catalog on OrderStream.
- Link the product content from Home Depot IDM to OrderStream.
On ChannelEngine
Connection
Set up the SFTP connection to OrderStream.
- SFTP host - the domain name of the SFTP server, e.g.: ‘mycompany.sftp.commercehub.com’.
- SFTP username - username received from Home Depot for the SFTP server.
- SFTP password - password received from Home Depot for the SFTP server.
- Vendor ID - your Vendor ID on OrderStream. This ID may be identical to your SFTP username.
- Vendor name - your company name on OrderStream.
If your tenant has the advanced order management feature enabled:
- Warehouse ID - the IDs of the warehouses on OrderStream.
- Warehouse <x> Home Depot ID - the ID of the Xst warehouse on OrderStream.
- Warehouse <x> stock location - select the ChannelEngine stock location to which the Xst warehouse corresponds. Ensure that the address fields of each stock location are filled in, including Region, in Products, Stock locations.
If your tenant does not have the advanced order management feature enabled:
- Warehouse ID - the ID of the warehouse on OrderStream.
- Warehouse Name - name of the warehouse
- Warehouse Address 1 - address line 1 of the warehouse
- Warehouse Address 2 - (optional) address line 2 of the warehouse.
- Warehouse Address 3 - (optional) address line 3 of the warehouse.
- Warehouse Postal Code - postal/ZIP code of the warehouse
- Warehouse City - city of the warehouse
- Warehouse State - state of the warehouse, e.g.: ‘CA’.
- Warehouse Country - country of the warehouse, e.g.: ‘US’.
Advanced settings
- Invoice due period - indicate how soon Home Depot should pay your invoice. E.g.: entering '30' results in your invoice showing Due in Days: 30. For more details on sending invoices to Home Depot, check out the section Payments below.
Product selection
Ensure that your product selection aligns with the product catalogs on both Home Depot and OrderStream.

Categorization is not supported on this channel.

Content
Content mapping is not supported on this channel.
Offer
All products (required)
- HomeDepot SKU - the SKU that Home Depot assigned to the product. The SKU must be unique, with a maximum of nine numeric characters, starting with ‘100’, ‘20’, or '3'. Stock levels of products for which this attribute is unmapped are not updated on OrderStream.
Carrier
Carrier mapping is required. Map your carrier to one of Home Depot’s supported carriers.
Pricing
Pricing is not supported on this channel.

Orders
Order number
As with any drop shipment model, incoming orders are purchase orders from the channel. On ChannelEngine, you receive two order numbers:
- Channel Order No. - the purchase order number.
- Commercial order no. - the customer order number.
Order date
The date and time of the order are recorded in the EST time zone (GMT -5).
Order extra data items
When an order is imported to ChannelEngine, ChannelEngine also retrieves extra data items related to the order itself – or to order lines. This extra data is specific to this marketplace. An explanation of each can be found below:

Orderline shipment dates
The Expected shipment date and Exact shipment date of each order line are provided in the EST time zone (GMT -5).
Shipments
Create a shipment
When creating a shipment, the method provided in the shipment must exactly match the value in Carrier mappings, Your shipping method.
ShippedFromStockLocationId in your request when you create your shipment.
Packing slips
Home Depot requires packing slips for your shipments. If you use your own packing slips, ensure that Home Depot approves your packing slips first. Otherwise, use Home Depot’s packing slips. You obtain Home Depot’s packing slips directly from Home Depot.
Payments
To start the payment process with Home Depot, follow the regular shipping process via ChannelEngine.

ChannelEngine automatically creates an invoice for all shipped and closed purchase orders from the past seven days that have not yet been invoiced.
Discounts, credits, and cancelations are not included in the invoice to Home Depot.
You define how soon (in days) Home Depot should pay this invoice at Setup, Advanced settings, Invoice due period.
The invoice format follows OrderStream's and Home Depot's requirements, in XML format.

The invoice is placed on your Home Depot SFTP server, in the folder HomeDepotConstants.Sftp.Folder.INVOICES.
Each invoice's file name follows the format:
Invoice_ChannelOrderNo_{order.ChannelOrderNo}_{dateTimeOffsetNow:yyyyMMddHHmm}.
