How to request an account
To start selling on Breuninger, contact ChannelEngine to request a referral for their seller program.
The following requirements apply:
- Proof of European VAT registration.
- Ability to provide information about your brands, pricing, sustainability, and product selection during the onboarding stage.
- Compliance with Breuninger's selection of your SKUs, in order to optimize your selling potential.
- Ability to generate return links, so buyers automatically receive tracking information for returned parcels.
Associated costs
There is no setup fee to begin selling on Breuninger, however, there is a monthly fee and a commission applied to each sale. The commission rate is determined through individual discussions with each merchant.
Note that a separate setup fee is required to create an account with integration partner Tradebyte. The exact fee is agreed upon during the discussion process.

* Breuninger splits products into individual order lines. I.e.: if multiple units of the same product are ordered, each unit is listed on a separate order line. Ensure that your merchant system can process such orders.
** A marketplace that supports sales channels allows merchants to list and sell products across multiple markets (e.g.: countries, regions, and states), all from the same connection. Breuninger supports shipments to Germany from Europe.
Settings and configuration
Setting up each channel on ChannelEngine follows the same flow, though not every channel includes the steps listed below.
- Go through the Setup.
- Create a Product selection.
- Complete the Categorization.
- Set up the Mappings: content, offers, and carriers.
- Configure the Pricing: rules and currency conversion.
- Fill in the Stock settings.
- Finish the Activation.
- Check the Listed products overview.

Setup

Connection
Breuninger is a TB.Market-based marketplace. To authorize the connection, enter the API credentials provided by TB.Market:
- API username
- API password
- Account number
Plugin-specific settings
- Export returns carrier - select the carrier that you use for returns. The default carrier is DHL.

Mappings
Content
On Breuninger, every product must have at least one article (child). Most products consist of several articles, which are variations of the product based on attributes such as color and size.
Follow these guidelines to ensure accurate content mapping for variations.
- For every grandparent product, map the attributes shared across all articles, such as name, brand, description, keywords, components, tags, and bullet points.
- For every child product, map the attributes that make it unique, such as price, images, variation attributes, shipping details, and customs information.
Each article must be released for sale by flagging it via the attribute Article active.
All products (required)
- Article active - set the article as active and available for sale on the marketplace.
- Export content - set it to 'yes' to export the product's content to the marketplace. Set it to 'no' and the product's content is not exported, and the same applies to the product's family. The default value is 'yes', even if the attribute is left unmapped.
- Product name - the product name used on the grandparent product.
- Altersgruppe - the product age group.
- Breuninger Farbe (color) - the article's color. E.g.: black.
- Farbe - the color of the product.
- Geschlecht - the intended gender of the product.
- Größe (size) - the article's main size. E.g.: EU 44.
- Hersteller Farbbezeichner (manufacturer color label) - the color of the article, as indicated by the manufacturer. E.g.: black.
- Hersteller Farbnummer (manufacturer color number) - the unique numeric code, assigned by the manufacturer to represent the color of the article.
- Hersteller Produktnummer (manufacturer product number) - the manufacturer's unique ID for the product.
- Saison - the season when the product can be used/worn.
- Sportart - the sport related to the product.
- Warn- und Sicherheitshinweis benötigt? - select whether the product requires a warning. If it does, provide it under Warn- und Sicherheitshinweis.
All products (optional)
- Article active (br_country) - set the article as active and available for sale on the marketplace in that sales channel.
- Article EAN - the article's 13-digit EAN.
- Article is backfill - select whether this article is backfill or long tail.
- Article shipping (height/length/width) - the dimensions of the package the article is shipped in, in cm.
- Article shipping (parcel type) - the shipping type. E.g.: parcel, pallet, etc.
- Article shipping (pieces) - the number of pieces in the shipping unit.
- Article shipping weight - the weight of the package the article is shipped in, in kg.
- Article trade statistics - country of origin - the country of origin for the article, according to the ISO 3166 standard. E.g.: DE, FR, NL.
- Article Trade Statistics - Intrastat Number - the Intrastat number for the article. Also known as the Intrastat commodity code, this is a numerical code used for reporting the movement of goods between European Union (EU) member states.

Article variation theme 1-3 (key/value) - if more than one article (child) is created under a product (parent), you must specify at least one variation theme and a corresponding key. You can specify up to three variation key/value pairs. E.g.:
- Article variation theme key 1 - size, article variation theme value 1-42.
- Article variation theme key 2 - color, article variation theme value 2 - black.
- Media link 1-10 - the image link for various views of the article. Although this attribute is marked as optional, it is actually required.
- Media sort 1-10 - the sorting position of the image on the product page.

Media type 1-10 - the type of image, i.e.: the specific view of the article. The options are:
- ebMediaImageFront - Main/front image
- ebMediaImageBack - back image
- ebMediaImageDetail - detail image
- ebMediaImageColor - color swatch
- ebMediaImageDetail - additional detail images
- Product brand - the brand of the product. E.g.: bFRIENDS bene.
- Product bullet point 1-5 - additional key features or selling points that are displayed as bullet points on the marketplace. Although this attribute is marked as optional, you are required to provide at least three bullet points. E.g.: Aus recycelbarem Papierzellstoff, Stapelbar, Boxen mit Deckel.
- Product description - the product's long description. E.g.: Die Schals von Acne Studios vollenden die cleanen Styles des Luxus-Labels. So sehe ich dieses Modell aus flauschigem Alpaka-Mix mit einem Karomuster in abgestimmten Nuancen als Farbtupfer zu monochromen Looks mit Oversized-Pullover und Mantel der Scandi-Brand.
- Product keyword 1-5 - keywords or search terms related to the product to improve findability on the marketplace.
- Product logos 1-10 - up to 10 product logo images. E.g.: care symbols (30° wash), certifications (FSC), or features (Bluetooth compatibility).
- Product supplement - the secondary promotional headline.
- Aktionscode - the action/promotion code.
- Breuninger Kernsortiment - select whether the product belongs to Breuninger’s core assortment.
- Gefahrgut - select a value based on whether the product is classified as a dangerous good, or contains hazardous substances or waste products – requiring regulated transport, storage, or disposal.
- Herstellerangabe Adresse/E-Mail/Name - the information related to the product manufacturer.
- Nachhaltigkeitssiegel - select a value based on whether the product has a sustainability seal/certification.
- Name Produktlinie - the name of the product line. E.g.: PULP.
- NOS Artikel - select a value based on whether the product is never out of stock.
- Warn- und Sicherheitshinweis - provide a warning or safety notice if the product requires one.
Offer
Prices must be configured per sales channel. If you use pricing v2, map your selling price in Pricing, Price rules.
Required
- Gross retail price (br_country) - the total retail price, including value-added tax (VAT).
Optional
- Cross price (br_country) - the former price of the product, before any discounts or reductions were applied. Also referred to as the 'from price'.
- Manufacturer suggested price (br_country) - the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).
Carrier
Carrier mapping is required on Breuninger. Choose from the options that are available in the dropdown in the Carrier mappings tab. If your preferred carrier is not listed, select Sonstiger, meaning any other carrier.
Pricing
Prices on Breuninger can only be provided in euros. The strikethrough pricing, or 'cross price', is displayed on the product page. Prices must be configured per sales channel.
In Mappings, Offer mappings, the following offer attribute may appear on this channel, if this channel uses pricing v2:
- Allow promotion below min price - set it to ‘true’ to allow the promotion price to drop below your product's minimum price.
Listed products
The Listed products page does not display specific feedback about your products on Breuninger. While products are assigned the Published status, this does not guarantee that they are listed on the marketplace or free of errors.
To check the status of a product or identify any validation errors, navigate to the TB.Market seller portal and access the error file.
Shipments
It is mandatory to include a return label in the box when shipping orders, as well as a printed packing slip that follows Breuninger's template.
Note that you cannot include any marketing materials related to you or your partners, and the packaging must be neutral and recyclable.
