How to request an account
To start selling on Breuninger, contact ChannelEngine to request a referral for their seller program.
The following requirements apply:
- Proof of European VAT registration.
- Ability to provide information about your brands, pricing, sustainability, and product selection during the onboarding stage.
- Compliance with Breuninger's selection of your SKUs, in order to optimize your selling potential.
- A working dropship integration through ChannelEngine, via which you send your product content, offers, and delivery information.
- A dedicated implementation specialist, who is going to be in direct contact with Breuninger’s integration team and the third parties.
- Products must be shipped via DHL.
- Ability to generate DHL return links, so buyers automatically receive tracking information for returned parcels.
Associated costs
There is no setup fee to begin selling on Breuninger, however, there is a monthly fee and a commission applied to each sale. The commission rate is determined through individual discussions with each merchant.
Note that a separate setup fee is required to create an account with integration partner Tradebyte. The exact fee is agreed upon during the discussion process.

* Breuninger splits products into individual order lines. I.e.: if multiple units of the same product are ordered, each unit is listed on a separate order line. Ensure that your system can process such orders.
** A marketplace that supports sales channels allows merchants to list and sell products across multiple markets (e.g.: countries, regions, and states), all from the same connection. Breuninger supports shipments to Germany from Europe.

Setup
On ChannelEngine
ChannelEngine has collaborated with Tradebyte to develop the integration with Breuninger. To enable this integration, you need an active account with both ChannelEngine and Tradebyte. Tradebyte serves as the intermediary, facilitating the transfer of data between your ChannelEngine environment and Breuninger. The integration leverages ChannelEngine's Channel API for efficient data exchange.
To initiate the integration process, provide your contact person at Breuninger with the following credentials from the marketplace's Setup page on ChannelEngine.
- Your account subdomain - https://[youraccount].channelengine.net.
- The Channel API key - found under the Channel API access section on the Setup page.

All products (required)
- Article active/Article active (B2C) - set the article as active and available for sale on the marketplace by selecting either 1 (active) or 0 (non-active) from the list of fixed values.
- Article component Farbe (color) - the article's size. E.g.: EU 44.
- Article component Größe (size) - the article's main size. E.g.: black.
- Article component Hersteller Farbbezeichner (manufacturer color label) - the color of the article, as indicated by the manufacturer. E.g.: black.
- Article component Hersteller Farbnummer (manufacturer color number) - the unique numeric code, assigned by the manufacturer to represent the color of the article.
- Article media file Detailansicht/Farbabbildung/Rückansicht/Vorderansicht 1-5 (detailed view/color image/rear view/front view) - the media file for various views of the article. Although this attribute is marked as optional, it is actually required.
- Product bullet point 1-5 - additional key features or selling points that are displayed as bullet points on the marketplace. Although this attribute is marked as optional, you are required to provide at least three bullet points. E.g.: Aus recycelbarem Papierzellstoff, Stapelbar, Boxen mit Deckel.
- Product component Hersteller Produktnummer (manufacturer product number) - the manufacturer's unique ID for the product.
- Product description - the product's long description. E.g.: Die Schals von Acne Studios vollenden die cleanen Styles des Luxus-Labels. So sehe ich dieses Modell aus flauschigem Alpaka-Mix mit einem Karomuster in abgestimmten Nuancen als Farbtupfer zu monochromen Looks mit Oversized-Pullover und Mantel der Scandi-Brand.
- Product media file detailansicht/farbabbildung/rückansicht/vorderansicht 1-5 (detailed view/color image/rear view/front view) - the media file for various views of the product. Although this attribute is marked as optional, it is actually required.
- Product name - the product's title, with its proper noun written in upper case and the remaining information in lower case. E.g.: Blumentopf HOURGLASS SMALL.
All products (optional)
- Article additional article number - the additional article number.
- Article base price (quantity/reference/commission rate key) - information about the item quantity per pack, and the base price reference for articles with a mandatory base price.
- Article delivery time - the delivery time in days. E.g.: 3.
- Article EAN - the article's 13-digit EAN.

Article images 1-10 - the article's main and additional images. The minimum number of images depends on the category. The image requirements are:
- Resolution - 1,122×1,536 px for images; 60×60 px for color tiles; 72 dpi.
- File format - JPG
- For fashion articles, a front view cut-out, model front and back view, detail view, and color tiles, are required.
- Color tiles are required for every article.
- It is necessary to create a media type for each image view, and map your media types to the marketplace's media types. See Article media file.
- Article manufacturer article number - the manufacturer's part number for the article.
- Article order interval - increments when entering an order quantity.
- Article order maximum/minimum - the maximum and minimum order quantities.
- Article replacement - select 1 or 0 from the list of fixed values to indicate the article's availability: 1 means the article can be restocked, and sales continue when the current stock runs out; 0 means the article cannot be restocked, and sales are only confirmed if the stock level is above 0.
- Article replacement time - the restocking time in days.
- Article shipping (height/length/width/weight) - the dimensions of the package the article is shipped in, in cm.
- Article shipping (parcel type) - the shipping type. E.g.: parcel, pallet, etc.
- Article shipping (pieces) - the number of pieces in the shipping unit.
- Article sorting - how the article is sorted under the parent product.
- Article trade statistics (country of origin) - the country of origin for the article, according to the ISO 3166 standard. E.g.: DE, FR, NL.
- Article trade statistics (Intrastat number) - the Intrastat number for the article. Also known as the Intrastat commodity code, this is a numerical code used for reporting the movement of goods between European Union (EU) member states.
- Article unit - the unit the article is sold in, selected from a list of fixed values. E.g.: ST - pieces (default value), CM, and QM. Floating point numbers are not supported for orders and stock levels.

Article variation theme 1-3 (key/value) - if more than one article (child) is created under a product (parent), you must specify at least one variant theme and a corresponding key. You can specify up to three variation key/value pairs. E.g.:
- Article variation theme key 1 - size, article variation theme value 1-42.
- Article variation theme key 2 - color, article variation theme value 2 - black.
- Article warehouse bin location - the bin location in the warehouse.
- Article warehouse bin location comment - notes or comments regarding the warehouse bin location.
- Product brand - the brand of the product. E.g.: bFRIENDS bene.
- Product component - name produktlinie (product line name) - the name of the product line. E.g.: PULP.
- Product images 1-10 - the product's main image and up to 10 additional images.
- Product internal remarks - internal-only comments or remarks related to the product that are not shown in the front-end or to the buyer.
- Product keywords 1-5 - keywords or search terms related to the product to improve findability on the marketplace.
- Product logos 1-10 - up to 10 product logo images. E.g.: care symbols (30° wash), certifications (FSC), or features (Bluetooth compatibility).
- Product name (common noun/proper name) - the name attribute can be maintained as a single field (via the product name attribute) or split into two values using the proper name plus common noun. E.g.: Proper name - 'Reinhold', Common name - 'Outdoor jacket'.
- Product supplement - the secondary promotional headline.
Offer
Required
- Article gross retail price (B2C) - the total retail price, including value-added tax (VAT).
Optional
- Article MSRP (B2C) - the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).
- Article net purchase price (B2C) - the net cost at which the article is purchased. This is not visible on the marketplace.
- Article stock - the current stock quantity of the product.
- Article strikethrough price (B2C) - the former price of the product, before any discounts or reductions were applied. Also referred to as the 'from price'.
- Article VAT rate (B2C) - the VAT rate applicable to the product.
Carrier
Breuninger does not support carrier mapping and the default carrier is DHL. It is mandatory to include a return label in the box when shipping orders, as well as a printed packing slip that follows Breuninger's template.
Note that you cannot include any marketing materials related to you or your partners, and the packaging must be neutral and recyclable.

Prices on Breuninger can only be provided in euros. The strikethrough pricing, or 'cross price', is displayed on the product page.
