Grandparent-parent-child relationships** |
* A marketplace that supports sales channels allows merchants to list and sell products across multiple markets (e.g.: countries, regions, and states), all from the same connection. You can sell products across multiple European countries on SHEIN using the SHEIN EU channel.
** SHEIN supports both standalone products and product variations, structured in a grandparent-parent-child hierarchy. To use product variations, make sure your product relationships are configured correctly on ChannelEngine.
*** Returns are not supported on ChannelEngine. However, you can approve a return requested by the customer in SHEIN's back-end.
Marketplace-specific requirements and exceptions
Setup
On ChannelEngine
SHEIN does not require any settings or keys to be entered on ChannelEngine's Setup page. Because SHEIN uses the ChannelEngine Channel API, they connect to ChannelEngine instead of the other way around. Therefore, you need the following credentials to connect to your account on SHEIN:
- Your account subdomain - https://[youraccount].channelengine.net
- The Channel API key, which can be found on the Setup page in the ChannelEngine back-end
- Your product feed from ChannelEngine (see below)
On SHEIN
To authorize your store on SHEIN:
- Log in to your SHEIN Seller Hub.
- From the left-side menu, go to Personal center, Third-party application.
- Find SHEIN official integration plugin and apply for an API key.
- When authorized, you receive a message via SMS containing your Open key ID and
Secret key. - Share the following credentials with your SHEIN contact:
- Open key ID and Secret key
- Channel API key and your account subdomain, which can be found on ChannelEngine
Product selection
SHEIN uses an API connection to fetch products, not a product feed. On the Product Selection page, select the products that you want to list on SHEIN and group them into one or more product selections. You do not need to submit a product feed in CSV or XML format to SHEIN.
Categorization
Categorization is straightforward and category names are shown in English.
Mappings
Content
We recommend you map as many attributes as possible. The more attributes you map, the greater the visibility of the product on the marketplace. This tends to lead to a higher conversion rate.
You can submit all product content in English, SHEIN then translates the content into the language of the country where you are planning to sell.
All products (required)

- No special characters. E.g.: ~!@#$%^&*:.

- If the product is a set, the title should reflect that. E.g.: Set of 3-pack Blue Men’s Basic T-shirts.

All products (optional)
-
Description - the description of the product. The maximum number of characters is up to 5,000. HTML formatting is not supported. In the product description, include:

- Tips for best results
- Key product features and characteristics
- Extra image URL 1-9 - the additional images of the product. For requirements, check Image URL.
Offer
- Price SHEIN [country code] - the price for the specified sales channel (country). This attribute is optional, however, you must provide the correct price if selling in this country. Make sure you enter the correct currency for the price. E.g.: PLN for Poland.
- Stock SHEIN [country code] - the available product stock for the specified sales channel (country).
Carrier
Send your preferred shipment methods (i.e.: carrier names) to your SHEIN contact ahead of time. This ensures they appear correctly under Carrier mapping. Carrier mapping is required on SHEIN. You must provide a shipment method and tracking code for shipments.
Pricing
SHEIN supports multiple sales channels (i.e.: countries) all with different currencies. The prices per country need to be mapped to the correct values in the Offer mappings. If you do not have prices per country in the respective currency, you need to set up a currency conversion.
Listed products
The status Published on the Listed products page indicates that SHEIN has received your product information. However, this does not mean the product is approved by SHEIN or published. If SHEIN finds any issues during validation, they will contact you directly to resolve them. Validation feedback is not shown on the Listed products page because SHEIN uses ChannelEngine's Channel API.
FAQs
Why are my shipments stuck with the 'Not exported yet' status?
SHEIN uses ChannelEngine's Channel API, so ChannelEngine does not initiate the import and export of data to and from the marketplace. If your shipments are not exported and not visible in SHEIN's back-end, something is wrong with the import of the shipment information. Please contact SHEIN's customer service to investigate this. You can copy ChannelEngine's Support team in the email, if needed.
