bol: why are my returns not being exported?
About this article
This article describes why bol returns are not exported correctly at times.
Why are my returns not being exported?
For returns that are registered on bol (marketplace returns), ChannelEngine can only process and export returns that are still unhandled on bol. If you handle a return manually on the bol backend, ChannelEngine can no longer export the return status back to bol.
To avoid this, manage bol returns on ChannelEngine. Once you receive the returned product in your warehouse, set the return status to Received and enter the correct Accepted quantity and Rejected quantity. This triggers the return update to bol.
To learn more about managing marketplace returns in the user interface, check out ChannelEngine: returns; for Merchant API, check out Merchant API: returns.
Other reasons why a bol return may not be exported include:
- The original order, shipment, or order line cannot be matched on ChannelEngine.
- The bol channel was inactive, or the return task encountered an API issue.
- A merchant return was created while a marketplace return already existed on bol or was pending import.
- A merchant return was created within 48 hours of shipment creation. bol does not allow merchant-initiated returns during this period.
- Accepted and Rejected quantities must both be provided, including 0 values where applicable. For more details on bol returns, check out bol: returns.
