This is a checklist to onboard new sellers on the About You marketplace.

Merchant fulfillment requirements (merchant only)
Introduction
The following tips can help you during onboarding and before activation of the channel. Make sure that you have taken care of all the points listed below so you can go live with About You.
Setup
Setting up products
- Grandparent/parent/ child structure - About You requires products to be structured in a grandparent-parent-child relationship. The grandparent represents one specific article style, the parent groups the product's color variants, and the child represents the product's sizes. Make sure each grandparent has at least one parent, and each parent has at least one child. Grandparent products must also be categorized; otherwise, the related parent and child products are not published.
- Material information (for both textiles and non-textiles) - material composition must be mapped on the parent level, using About You's fixed list of material attributes. For textile products, you must map the fraction (percentage) for each material, and the percentages must add up to 100%. For non-textile products, the fraction is optional - if you don't want it validated, you can still map the material and enter '100' as the value.
NB: do not add a percentage sign (%) to the fraction value. List materials in order, starting with the material that has the largest percentage. The maximum number of materials per group is two, though some groups allow only one.
- Country of origin - must be mapped at the child level for every product, indicating the country where the item was produced.
- HS codes - the EU customs tariff number must be mapped at the child level for every product.
Shipments and returns
- Sending a return track & trace number on shipments - both a shipment tracking code and a return tracking code are required by About You on every shipment. Make sure both are available and visible within ChannelEngine when you create the shipment, even though the return tracking code is only used later if the order is returned.
- Sending a track & trace number on returns - a tracking number must also be submitted for the return shipment itself when you process a return. This applies even if a tracking number was already provided for the original shipment - it must be submitted again specifically for the return.
Merchant fulfillment requirements (merchant only)
The points below apply only if you fulfill About You orders yourself, rather than using Fulfillment by About You (FbAY).
- European warehouse - merchant-fulfilled orders must ship from a warehouse located in Europe.
- Orders have to be shipped within 24 hours - excluding weekends and public holidays.
- AY delivery document and sticky return label - all orders must contain a delivery document that follows About You's required layout, and a self-adhesive return label, to support About You's return policy.
- Agreed carrier - all orders should use the carrier that was agreed with About You. About You specifies the required carrier per order; you do not need to copy its exact spelling.
NB: as a safeguard, ChannelEngine automatically sends the carrier that About You requires as the shipping method on all shipments. All merchant returns must also be shipped with the same carrier that was used for the original order shipment.
