Introduction

Bol enables sellers to sell refurbished products on its marketplace, as distinct from second-hand products. In order to sell refurbished products on bol, you must meet bol’s requirements and obtain official approval from bol. Refer to bol’s partner portal for specific guidelines and acceptance criteria.

If you would like to sell refurbished products on bol, there are a few simple settings to configure on ChannelEngine. These settings will enable you to export the correct offers on refurbished products to bol, using the correct offer flow.  

Limitations

The refurbished offer flow only takes effect on products that are added to a product selection after the correct setting is turned on in the Setup page. 

If you already have products in one of your bol product selections that you would like to sell as refurbished products, first follow the steps in Convert existing offers to refurbished product offers before starting the setup steps in Setup. 

Requirements

• You must have explicit approval from bol to sell refurbished products on the bol marketplace.

Settings and configuration

Setup

To start the setup, the refurbished products that you would like to sell should not yet be added to a product selection on bol. If you would like to convert existing bol products to refurbished products, follow the steps in Convert existing offers to refurbished product offers before continuing with the setup steps.

To set up your bol plugin to support refurbished products:

1. Go to Setup, Advanced settings.
2. Locate the Enable refurbished offer flow field. The allowable values are:
   • '0' -this setting is turned off. Offers on refurbished products are not sent to bol.
   • '1' - this setting is turned on. Offers on refurbished products are sent to bol.   
3. To turn on the refurbished product offer flow, enter '1'.
4. Click Save and continue.

Product selection

Create refurbished product offers from new

If you have no refurbished products in any product selection on ChannelEngine, create a new product selection. 

1. Go to Product selection.
2. Create a product selection that contains your refurbished products. For guidance, check out ChannelEngine: product selection. 

3. Continue with the categorization and mappings.

Convert existing offers into refurbished product offers

If you want to convert existing offers into refurbished product offers, then:

1. Remove the existing products that you want to convert to refurbished offers from your bol product selections. Removing the products from the product selections ensures that their product offers are removed from Mappings.

2. Turn on the refurbished offer setting by following the steps in Setup.

3. Add the products back to your product selections.

4. Continue with the categorization and mappings.

Mark your products as refurbished products:

1. Go to Mappings, Offer mappings.

2. In the optional attributes, locate Condition.

3. Select a value for Condition. The options are:

   • Als nieuw (Like new)

   • Goed (Good)

   • Matig (Fair)

   • Nieuw (New)

   • Redelijk (Reasonable)

FAQ

How can I verify if my offer is correctly sent to bol as an offer for a refurbished product?

To validate if the offer is published as refurbished, check the product on the bol marketplace.

I received an error after my product content and offers were exported to bol. What should I do?

• On publishing the offer, you might receive the following error message from bol: “Seller is not allowed to sell refurbished”. This means that you still need to get permission from bol to sell refurbished products.

• If the error received is: “Fail to create refurbished offer”, the offer flow is not working as expected. Please check that all the content mappings are in place, and contact bol’s support team to verify the reason why bol sent the message. 

• For any other errors, contact the ChannelEngine Support team.
