Legend
- Product offers are connected to existing content. Offers tend to contain only data such as the price, stock, and delivery time. Unlike product content, product offers are dynamic, meaning they change frequently.
- Product content translates into the creation or update of content on a marketplace. Content tends to contain data such as title, description, images, and other information used to describe and market products to potential buyers.
- Marketplace-fulfilled returns are not supported. E.g.: FBA, ZFS, LVB.
-
Three-level product structure refers to how product variations are organized on ChannelEngine using three layers:
- Grandparent product - the base product, such as a T-shirt.
- Parent product - a group of products that are united by one characteristic, such as a blue T-shirt.
- Child product - a sellable product on the marketplace, such as a blue T-shirt in size S.
Only the child product is sellable. The grandparent and parent products help organize product data and variation relationships, especially for marketplaces that support multi-level variations. To learn more, check out the article ChannelEngine: parent-child relationships.
