Marketplace-specific requirements and exceptions
Setup
On ChannelEngine
ChannelEngine has partnered with the third-party provider, eCommeleon, to build the marketplace integration. This integration uses ChannelEngine’s Channel API and Channel Management API to exchange data with eCommeleon, which in turn connects to Wowcher via the marketplace’s own API.
eCommeleon acts as middleware between ChannelEngine and Wowcher:
To get you started, ChannelEngine sets up active accounts with both eCommeleon and Wowcher on your behalf. We also handle the technical side of the integration, so you do not need to take any extra steps.
Your credentials for Wowcher are available on the Setup page on ChannelEngine, but you do not need to share them with the marketplace – ChannelEngine takes care of that.
To complete the setup:
-
- Share the contact details of your marketplace representative with ChannelEngine.
- Once you receive the initial email containing your marketplace credentials, forward it to ChannelEngine.
Categorization
Categorization on Wowcher is straightforward, and all product categories are listed in English.

However, the customer does not receive any tracking information if you do this, so it is recommended that you include it – as it is standard practice on most marketplaces.
Listed products
The Listed products page does not display specific feedback about your products on Wowcher. While products are assigned the Published status, this does not guarantee that they are listed on the marketplace or free of errors.
To check the status of a product or identify any validation errors, get in touch with your contact person at ChannelEngine.
FAQs
Why are my shipments stuck as 'Not exported yet'?
Wowcher uses ChannelEngine's Channel API, so ChannelEngine does not initiate the import and export of data to and from the marketplace. If your shipments are not exported and not visible in Wowcher's back-end, something is wrong with the import of the shipment information. Please contact Wowcher's customer service to investigate this. You can copy ChannelEngine's Support team in the email, if needed.
