Shopware 6: return tracking code

This article describes how you can configure return tracking codes on Shopware 6.
Introduction
Some marketplaces, such as Zalando, OTTO Market, and About You, require a return tracking code with a shipment. Since Shopware 6 does not support return tracking codes as a standard field, we recommend using the order custom fields feature to include this information.
Setup
On ChannelEngine
To enable the return tracking code synchronization:
- Go to the Setup page of your Shopware 6 plugin.
- Under Advanced settings, enable the Check for return tracking code setting.
On Shopware 6
Once the Check for return tracking code setting is enabled, ChannelEngine automatically creates a new custom field for the return tracking code in the order metadata section.
To create a shipment for marketplaces that require a return tracking code, enter the code in the respective custom field. If you do not provide the return tracking code, ChannelEngine rejects the shipment.
For marketplaces where a return tracking code is not required, ChannelEngine creates a shipment regardless of whether a return tracking code is provided or not.
