How to request an account
To start selling on MyDeal, fill out the seller application on their website.
The following requirements apply:
- You must agree to MyDeal's seller terms and service level agreement.
- Your products must meet the requirements of MyDeal's product safety policy.
- You must sell products under Australian consumer and Product safety laws.
- You cannot make use of third-party logistics.
- You should not require a freight quote before shipment.
- You should be able to deliver Australia-wide within a 15-day timeframe.
- You should be able to provide customer service within a two-day timeframe.
Associated costs
MyDeal does not charge a setup fee, but it does charge a monthly fee of AUD 49.90 (excl. taxes) and a commission fee that varies per product category.

Settings and configuration
Setting up each channel on ChannelEngine follows the same flow, once you add the channel:
- Go through the Setup.
- Create a Product selection.
- Complete the Categorization.
- Set up the Mappings: content, offers, and carriers.
- Configure the Pricing: rules and currency conversion.
- Finish the Activation.
- Check the Listed products overview.

Setup
On MyDeal
- Log into the MyDeal back-end.
- Go to My account, Integration settings.
- Copy your Seller ID and Seller token.
On ChannelEngine
- Log into ChannelEngine.
- Go to the Setup section of your MyDeal channel.
- Enter your Seller ID and Seller token, copied from the MyDeal back-end.
- Click Save.
Categorization
The categorization process is straightforward, and all categories are listed in English. It is recommended that you categorize your products as specifically as possible.
Mappings
Content
MyDeal has a long list of required and optional attributes. However, most have helpful tooltips that can be read by hovering the cursor over the question mark icon to their left.
All products (required)
- Delivery time - the estimated delivery time for the product, in business days. E.g.: 2-3 business days.
- Description - the product’s description. Most HTML tags are supported, except for embed, href, iref, iframe, and img. The maximum number of characters allowed is 15,000.

Image URL 1 - the product’s main image URL. Make sure to use a clean image showing the full product, with a white or plain background. Watermarks, logos, badges, and stamps are not allowed. The other requirements are:
- Recommended resolution - 800x800 px, 72 dpi.
- Maximum width - 1,320 px.
- Maximum height - 1,080 px.
- Is direct import? - the product’s direct import status. The option false indicates that the product is shipped from within Australia, while true indicates the product is imported.
- Max. days for delivery - the maximum number of days it takes to deliver the product, in calendar days.
- Product SKU - the product’s SKU, such as the Merchant product number. The maximum number of characters is 50, and all printable ASCII characters are allowed.
- Shipping cost category - the product’s shipping cost tier. The options are: Custom, which requires the mapping of the attribute Custom freight scheme ID, but mapping the Shipping cost attribute is not needed; Flat, which requires a value for the attribute Shipping cost; and FlatAnyQty, which requires a value for the attribute Shipping cost – this value cannot vary, no matter the quantity ordered. To offer free delivery, map this attribute to Flat and the Shipping cost attribute to 0 (zero).
- Title - the product’s title. The recommended structure is: brand + model name/product style + keyword + color. If applicable, make sure to also add the quantity involved. The maximum number of characters is 200. E.g.: ErgoDuke HomeComfort Fabric Office Chair - Grey.
All products (optional)
- Age group - the product’s target age group. E.g.: Children 5-11.
- Brand - the product’s brand.
- Condition - the product’s condition. The options are New, Used, and Refurbished. If left empty, it defaults to New.
- Custom freight scheme ID - if the attribute Shipping cost category is set to custom, this attribute becomes mandatory. You can then map the Custom freight scheme ID according to the IDs set by MyDeal. Depending on the freight scheme configured, the product’s dimensions and weight may be required.
- Dimensions unit - the unit of measurement for the product’s dimensions. E.g.: cm.
- Gender - the target gender for the product. E.g.: Men, Women, Unisex, etc.
- GTIN - the product’s unique identifier. E.g.: EAN, UPC, JAN, ISBN.
- Has 48 hours dispatch? - if set to Yes, the product is shown on MyDeal with a ‘24-28 hour dispatch’ label, confirming that you can ship it within a maximum of 48 hours from the time of purchase.
- Height - the product’s height, based on the unit mapped to the attribute Dimensions unit.
- Image position 1-9 - the sort order of each product image provided. If left empty, default positions are assigned.

Image URL 2-9 - the product’s additional images. The main image requirements apply to the additional images too. MyDeal suggests the following approach for additional images:
- Professional lifestyle images showing the product in use.
- Important information about the product, such as a visual of dimensions.
- Multiple views of the product.
- Length - the product’s length, based on the unit mapped to the attribute Dimensions unit.
- MPN - the product’s manufacturer part number.
- Option - color - the product’s main color. If the product is a variation, at least one variation option needs to be mapped – such as its color, size, flavor, type, finish, etc.
- Option - color position - the sort order of each color-based variation, if more than one option is available. If left empty, default positions are assigned.
- Option - finish - the product’s main finish (e.g.: matte). If the product is a variation, at least one variation option needs to be mapped – such as its color, size, flavor, type, finish, etc.
- Option - finish position - the sort order of each finish-based variation, if more than one option is available. If left empty, default positions are assigned.
- Option - flavor position - the sort order of each flavor-based variation, if more than one option is available. If left empty, default positions are assigned.
- Option - flavor/fragrance - the product’s flavor or fragrance (e.g.: vanilla). If the product is a variation, at least one variation option needs to be mapped – such as its color, size, flavor, type, finish, etc.
- Option - material - the product’s main material (e.g.: organic cotton). If the product is a variation, at least one variation option needs to be mapped – such as its color, size, flavor, type, finish, etc.
- Option - material position - the sort order of each material-based variation, if more than one option is available. If left empty, default positions are assigned.
- Option - size - the product’s size. If the product is a variation, at least one variation option needs to be mapped – such as its color, size, flavor, type, finish, etc.
- Option - size position - the sort order of each size-based variation, if more than one option is available. If left empty, default positions are assigned.
- Option - type - the product’s type (e.g.: indoor). If the product is a variation, at least one variation option needs to be mapped – such as its color, size, flavor, type, finish, etc.
- Option - type position - the sort order of each type-based variation, if more than one option is available. If left empty, default positions are assigned.
- Season - the product’s season. E.g.: Spring 2023.
- Series - the product’s series or line. E.g.: Galaxy.
- Shipping cost - the product’s shipping cost, in AUD. E.g.: 5.95.
- Specifications - the product’s fine print. Most HTML tags are supported, except for embed, href, iref, iframe, and img.
- Tags - the product’s search keywords, separated by commas. E.g.: solar panel, photovoltaic, 300 Watts.
- Variant (shipping) length - the product’s height, including packaging, in centimeters.
- Variant (shipping) weight - the product’s weight, including packaging, in kilograms.
- Variant (shipping) width - the product’s width, including packaging, in centimeters.
- Weight - the product’s weight, based on the unit mapped to the attribute Weight unit.
- Weight unit - the unit of measurement for the product’s weight. E.g.: kg.
- Width - the product’s width, based on the unit mapped to the attribute Dimensions unit.
Offer
All products (required)
- Price - the product’s base selling price, including commission.
- Recommended retail price - the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).
Carrier
There is no carrier mapping required on MyDeal. The information provided to ChannelEngine is the information passed onto MyDeal, without re-mappings or conversions.
Pricing
MyDeal requires the prices to be submitted in AUD. If you do not have pricing attributes in AUD, you need to set up a currency conversion.

Additional information
Order extra data items
