This article describes how to fetch and handle returns for Miinto.
Table of contents
Introduction
With the introduction of v 2.5 of the Miinto API, (channel) returns are now supported by Miinto and it is no longer necessary to contact their customer support to handle and process returns.
You can find more information how returns work in our article ChannelEngine: returns. Please be aware that Miinto only supports channel returns (e.g.: returns originating from the channel, which you need to mark as received).
Fetch returns
The process for fetching returns is the same as for other channel returns. An automatically scheduled task will fetch new returns from Miinto once an hour (this is the default schedule).
- Once a return is available in ChannelEngine, go to Orders, Returns to find new returns.
- Filter on miinto.country to view only the returns from Miinto.
- Change the status filter to In progress to only see the unhandled returns from Miinto.
Depending on your additional integrations, these returns can also be imported into your own WMS/ERP /PIM/etc. system for processing.
Handle returns
When the physical items or order is returned by your customer and accepted, i.e., the products are in an acceptable condition and valid for refund, you can mark the items as 'Received'. Then, and only then, will the return be exported (and get an 'ExportedAt date').
For more details on how to mark returns as handled/received, refer to the ChannelEngine: returns article.
