Why is my VAT number marked as invalid?

When you enter a VAT number in the VAT settings in ChannelEngine, please be aware that this can only be an international VAT number. You can check international VAT numbers in the VAT Information Exchange System (VIES).

If you use a local VAT number such as the German Steuer Nummer, ChannelEngine displays an error message: Invalid VAT number.
