Introduction
Depending on your organization's functions, you may want to make the recovery management feature read-only for a given set of users or grant full access to other users. To tailor read-only for a set of users, configure a set of permissions to create custom roles for your organization, or enable all available permissions to set up full access to all recovery management features.
Available permissions
For details on how to create custom roles and manage access rights for a set of users, check out ChannelEngine: users, roles, and permissions.
When you create a custom role for recovery management, configure any of the following permissions:
- Full access - manage advanced recovery management settings, view payments, and create disputes.
- View - read-only access to recovery management pages.
- Add recovery management - create disputes for price discrepancies and invoice shortages. (Do not select this permission alone; select this permission in combination with View/Full access.)
Select only the View permission to create read-only access to recovery management.
Selecting View and Add recovery management results in full access; full access is the default setting of the recovery management feature.
Read-only access
If a user role only has the View permission enabled, the user with this role has the following access to the recovery management pages:
- Dashboard - read-only access to the dashboard; dispute buttons are removed.
- Shortages - dispute buttons (single and bulk) are removed, and check-all functionality is removed.
- Price discrepancies - dispute buttons (single and bulk) are removed, and check-all functionality is removed.
- Payments - same access as all users.
- Support cases - same access as all users.
- Settings - same access as all users.
- Invoiced disputes - same access as all users.
Full access
By default, all users have full access to all recovery management features; use custom roles to restrict access further. Administrators on ChannelEngine always have full access to all recovery management features.
